The Monterey was first released in 1950 as part of the Mercury Eight series. It was intended to compete with General Motors’ hardtop coupes which took the world by storm. The pilarless design gave the impression of a convertible with all of the boons and advantages of a fixed roof. The chrome trims squeals Americana while the White Hard Top and the Teal Body renders the vintage 50’s paint scheme. Under the hood is a 292 V8.  Options on this timeless beauty include am radio, vinyl interior, power steering, power brakes, Hub Caps and Wide White Wall Radial Tires.
