It was a night of chaos during the Supercross season opener at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, California. In the second 450cc heat race of the season, pre-season favorite Ken Roczen locked bars with Justin Barcia which sent his RCH Suzuki swapping sideways. Roczen wasn’t able to get his bike stopped in time for the first corner, consequently barreling into the rear end of Kyle Chisolm’s Honda and causing a first turn crash. Roczen’s bike was trashed and he had to try again in the semi-qualifier, but the rider who came out the worst in this incident was the 722 of Adam Enticknap. Watch carefully as he falls directly onto the tumbling bike of Roczen, suffering a hard hit to the rib cage. Later in the very same heat race, 450 rookie Justin Bogle was fighting hard for a transfer spot when he unintentionally took out Ryan Dungey and Justin Barcia in one go. That’s a surefire way to make a name for yourself in the big bike class.
